This past weekend was church conference and Lindsey came down from Rexburg, ID (where she's going to school) for a fun visit! Saturday night we had girls' night while Matt was at the Priesthood session and made hair do-dads while watching Pride and Prejudice. The hair clips turned out totally cute! Sunday was a nice day of watching conference and taking a walk to the park for some botchi ball. It was windy and cold however, so it was a quick trip! Sadly she had to go back to school last night. We love having Lindsey here, and she loves to come see Ezra! Come back soon, Linds! Matt, Ezra and I got to make a visit to Chase and Tauri's place last night. Their apartment is so cute, and we had a really fun time playing wii and Rummikub!

My recommitment to blogging!
Okay, so I'm going to attempt to commit to keeping up this blog! My number one purpose in doing this is to better document Ezra's life. It may not be anything fancy, but at least it's something!
That said, here are some updates and hilites of our life:
Ezra Matthew Smith was born on April 25, 2009. He's the sunshine in my life! My favorite part of the day is getting him from his crib in the morning and being greeted with a huge smile and arms and legs flailing with excitement! It's wonderful to have someone so excited to see me!
He giggled for the first time, and it was the most magical sound in the world. I don't even know what I did that was so funny, but hearing the sound of my baby's laughter was pure joy!

The New Neighbors
We moved into a cozy little condo in Provo, got all settled in (we love it) and soon were delighted with new neighbors just a few steps away -- Chase and Tauri moved in just a few weeks ago, and having them so close has been nothing but fun and games (Wii games)! It reallly is great, and they are really fun to be around!
We also love getting together with Bob, Emily and Ethan Ashby! They feed us almost every Sunday it seems and it's always delicious and always so fun at their house! We love these times and are so excited for the new little Ashby coming in August! If he's half as much fun and as sweet as Ethan is, they'll never get rid of us at their house!

A Blog for Kathryn and Matt!
Hello friends and family -- welcome to our page! Since we may be far away from you we figure this is a great way to stay connected and at least know what's going on in our Utah lives. We just got the pictures back from our photographer -- Megan Stay -- who did a fabulous job, and I'll be posting some on here soon for all to see!! We think they turned out great, man we have some good lookin' family and freinds! Plus the background was really beautiful with all the trees and the gorgeous day that it was.
Thank-you again to everyone who was there and made the day truly memorable and special, and for all those who helped it all come together, from the bottom of our hearts we are so grateful. Brittany and Wendy (Mom) did such an amazing job, put so much thought and time and resources into the reception, and it all turned out perfectly and how can we thank you enough? Uncle Bill and Aunt Kathryn who did all the flowers -- they were breathtaking and more gorgeous than we could have imagined. How fortunate we are to be related to such talented people! Matt's family in Oregon put on a wonderful reception on May 17th -- thank-you to all who put in so much work and did so much planning to make it a delightful afternoon! And to whoever made the weather so perfect -- wow, thank-you! Oregon is sooo beautiful and the Smith's backyard is a slice of Heaven, making a picture-perfect reception!
Our honeymoon cruise down the Mexican Riviera was a perfect mixture of relaxation and adventure, and we really had a wonderful, memorable time. Pictures of that soon to come also!
